Introduction: The contact system proteins factor XII (FXII), prekallikrein (PK) and high
molecular weight kininogen (HK) have roles in coagulation, fibrinolysis, thrombin-induced
platelet activation, cell adhesion and angeogenisis. It has been suggested that inherited or
